One of the best parts of the wedding day is watching and learning the relationships that intertwine the various groups.
This image is a perfect example. A bride with her best friends and Sister-in-law.
I had completed the bridal portraits I wanted as well as the formal images of the ladies.
As I was taking a second to review the images and ensure I liked what I saw, the sounds of child-like giggles and laughter erupted behind me.
I'm not sure what they were laughing at.
It could have been the bride's father, who was standing about 20 feet away holding a arm full of pocketbooks and the group's flowers. They could have been laughing at me because Lord knows I do some strangely funny things on a wedding day. Or they could have been laughing at the joke one of them told. I'll never know.
What I do know is that the scene unfolding before me was as real as it gets during a wedding day and the thought of missing that was too much. So I grabbed my camera and rattled off several images.
It's these moments between friends and family that create the memories weddings are made of. The smiles and genuine love and care for each other shown during the day show the true feelings between the participants.
