If you're looking for a experienced and fun studio or portrait photographer in the Zebulon area, you may have just found him!
With 15 years of photography to pull from, there's no doubt you'll love your time with me and love the images even more.
Studio portraits have always been a fun and creative outlet for me when other photographers simply don't understand the concepts required to properly light in studio.
Rhys and his sister came into studio with mom to get some updated images of the them. His sister had already had her turn, so the spotlight came down on him.
I had already done the typical head and 1/2 body images, but wanted to do something a little more meaningful and slight atypical for him.
After a couple seconds of thinking, I decided to a introspective look, a reflection of his personality as a thinker.
To create the lighting effect, I moved the flash 90 degrees to his left to create a rimlight effect.
For this image, I didn't want the lighting to hit him straight on. Instead, by moving my strobe, it creates a much more dramatic image.
For this image to truly work, I had to make sure that there was some light that hit his distant pupil and added a touch of light under his eye.
